It is our goal to share our story as we navigate through the ups and downs of adopting our next child. We invite you to follow along and pray that God blesses you as he blesses us!
Our Story
We met as kids and grew up knowing each other long before we ever imagined building a life together. It wasn’t until we were 19 and 20 years old that friendship turned into something more. Once we started dating, everything moved quickly—in the best way. Just three weeks later, Ben asked me to marry him, and we’ve been walking through life side by side ever since. We were married in November 2002 at the church we both grew up in.
Early on, we knew adoption would be part of our story. Because of Ben’s childhood leukemia treatments, we aren’t able to have biological children, but that truth helped shape a path that feels exactly right for our family. In 2017, we were incredibly blessed to adopt our son, Wyatt. Becoming his parents confirmed what we already knew in our hearts. For the past four years, we’ve been waiting to be placed with our next child, and we continue this journey together with hope, patience, and excitement, ready to welcome another child into our family.

Paperwork Complete!
Finger Prints, Background checks, medical exams, pictures oh my! We are excited to report after 3 monts we’ve submitted all the necessary paperwork and all the background checks are complete! Now we await word from F.A.C. Adopts for next steps.

After four years on this journey, we’ve chosen to expand our adoption reach, allowing us to be considered in more opportunities. This step increases the likelihood of placement but also adds additional upfront costs beyond our original plan.
